We are a family of 5 who like to be together - whether working or relaxing! Growing up working on his parents' produce farm and greenhouses, you could say Jeremy has been farming since he was born! Then he married Kim - a city girl from Ohio. After a few years, living near Cleveland, OH (and two children later), we decided to move back to Pennsylvania so Jeremy could return to his favorite work - working the land! Welcomed with a surprise of a third child after our move, our family grew to 5, plus our old farm dog, Suzie!
In 2016, Farmer Jeremy started Haffey Family Farm as an additional way to support our family, growing garlic. In 2021, our farm grew to a family affair and a variety of fruits and vegetables were added. We also started attending farmer's markets in the Pittsburgh area. In 2022, we added a Community Supported Agriculture program to our farm. We want to be connected to the community and help educate others about the value of fresh, locally grown produce. We also enjoying building relationships with our customers and hearing what your favorite recipes are for the produce we grow. We realize it is a privilege to have fresh, healthy produce available for our children and it is our goal for other families to enjoy that as well. Often times, our children will walk out to the field, pick a pepper or cucumber or tomato and eat it straight from the field. For this reason, we only grow non-GMO produce using sustainable farming methods. While we are not certified organic, we follow organic farming methods. We hope you'll enjoy the produce we work hard to grow with love! |
